Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Inaugurates Bathou Temple, Attends BTC Anniversary Celebrations during Visit to Kokrajhar and Chirang
Guwahati, 20th December: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma embarked on a visit to Kokrajhar and Chirang districts on December 20, where he inaugurated the newly constructed Bathou temple at Bagansali in Kokrajhar.
During the visit, Chief Minister Sarma highlighted the significance of PM Modi’s Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, initiated on November 15. He emphasized that through this yatra, people can gain insights into various government schemes, register for programs like Ujjwala Gas, and access Bima schemes, including the Ayushman card for Assam unit. Expressing optimism, Sarma stated that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra would undoubtedly bring benefits to the people.
As part of his one-day visit to the BTR region, the Chief Minister actively participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Kashipara ground near Gaonburha Bhawan. Following the Kokrajhar program, he proceeded to Bijni in Chirang district.
In addition to the yatra, Chief Minister Sarma attended the three-year anniversary celebrations of the BTC coalition government in Bijni, marking a momentous occasion for the region.
