Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Inspects Construction Work at AIIMS Guwahati

Guwahati: Chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati building site and looked over the institute’s preliminary work.

Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta, MLA Diganta Kalita, Assam DGP GP Singh and other district government representatives accompanied Himanta Biswa Sarma.

A tweet from the Chief Minister’s Office read, “HCM Dr @himantabiswa inspected preparatory works of AIIMS Guwahati, which will be dedicated to the nation by Hon PM Shri @narendramodi ji on April 14. He was accompanied by Hon’ble Health Minister Shri @keshab_mahanta and Hon MLA Shri @diganta68.”

The institute will be officially inaugurated on April 14 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

CM Sarma also visited to Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati to assess how well the massive Bihu dance event on April 14 was coming along. He gave the appropriate parties instructions to complete unfinished work as soon as possible and to follow the rules.

Meanwhile, it was discovered that 11,140 performers will take part in the Bihu performance in the Sarusajai stadium.
