Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Invites PM Modi to Inaugurate Key Projects and Attend Business Summit
Guwahati, 11th December: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, extending a warm invitation for the PM to visit the state and participate in a series of significant events. CM Sarma took to social media platform X to share details of their meeting, expressing gratitude for PM Modi’s continuous guidance.
During the meeting, CM Sarma urged PM Modi to visit Assam and take part in laying the foundation stone for the Kamakhya corridor project. Additionally, the Prime Minister was invited to inaugurate the Tinsukia Medical College and lay the foundation for the Sivasagar Medical College. Another highlight of the invitation included dedicating the grand statue of Bir Lachit Barphukan at Jorhat.
Notably, CM Sarma sought advice from PM Modi on organizing the Assam Business Summit in 2024. The objective is to establish the summit as a crucial platform to attract private investment, fostering Assam’s economic growth. CM Sarma expressed, “I had the privilege to call upon Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji today. Shared Assam’s immense gratitude for his continuous guidance & leadership and briefed him on the ongoing pro-people programs during our interaction.”
