Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Reviews Progress of ‘Jyoti-Bishnu’ Auditorium Construction

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed satisfaction with the construction progress of the ‘Jyoti-Bishnu’ Auditorium during an inspection on January 3.

The 5,000-seat venue, currently under development, is set to become a key cultural landmark in Guwahati, enhancing the city’s infrastructure for large-scale events.

Taking to X, CM Sarma wrote, “Reviewed progress of the ‘Jyoti-Bishnu’ Auditorium this morning. I’m satisfied with how it’s shaping up.” The auditorium, named after influential figures in Assamese culture, is poised to significantly enrich the state’s cultural and entertainment offerings.

Additionally, CM Sarma announced plans to visit Dudhnoi in the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) area, where he will inaugurate new facilities and assess ongoing development projects. The visit underscores the government’s commitment to fostering growth and infrastructure across Assam.
