Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Woos Voters with Dance Moves ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

Guwahati, 6th April: As election fervor grips Assam ahead of the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for April 19, 26, and May 7, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, known for his fiery speeches, has added a unique flair to his campaign strategy – dancing.

During his recent campaign across the Jorhat constituency, Sarma concluded his meetings by dancing to the BJP’s theme song, ‘Akou ebar Modi sorkar’ (Modi’s government, once more), drawing enthusiastic participation from the crowds.

Whether in Sivsagar or Mariani, Sarma’s energetic performances, accompanied by clapping and cheers from the audience, have injected vigor into his campaign.

In addition to showcasing his dance moves, Sarma highlighted the welfare measures undertaken by the BJP-led governments at both the Centre and the state, urging the public to vote for Modi for a third consecutive term.

Sharing a video of his lively campaign dance on X, Sarma emphasized the camaraderie within the #ModiKaParivaar, stating, “Of course we sing and dance in our rallies.” Sarma’s dancing prowess had previously caught attention during the 2019 parliamentary elections when he grooved along to the tunes of ‘Akou ebar Modi Sorkar’ and other BJP campaign songs.

With the BJP aiming to replicate its success in Assam, where it secured nine seats in the outgoing Lok Sabha, Sarma exudes confidence, predicting victory in at least 13 seats this time. The BJP is contesting in 11 seats, allocating two to its ally Asom Gana Parishad and one to the United People’s Party Liberal.
