Assam: CM holds discussion with employees before launching Sadbhavana

Guwahati: In the run-up to the launch of project Sadbhavana, Chief Minister. Himanta Biswa Sarma today held a discussion with the employees of Assam Secretariat at an interactive session held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra.

Talking to the employees, Sarma said that to be launched on February 1, the employees of the Assam Secretariat would play an important role in making project Sadbhavana, a citizen-centric project, a grand success. This project envisaged disposing of old files which remain pending for several years.

CM also said that the State government in its bid to make the project hugely successful desired to engage officers and employees of the government. Stating the citizens an integral part of state administration, said that the employees need to show their sensitivity to dispose of the files.

He further stated that the Secretariat is an epicenter of the State administration. Therefore, officers and employees in State Secretariat need to show a high degree of professionalism and transparency in quick disposing of files in accordance with the laid down procedure.

Sarma added that along with project Sadbhavana, the government will also introduce an e-office system. In sync with the project, the State government will launch Swacchata Abhiyan in Janata Bhawan. Urging the employees of Janata Bhawan to make Swacchata a part of their life, cleanliness in all offices and departments would transform the Secretariat building into a model office, Sarma added.

The Chief Minister said that the underlying objective of Project Sadbhavana is to make a responsive administration. He, therefore, appealed to the secretariat employees to extend full cooperation to the successful implementation of the project.
