Assam: CM inaugurates 50 seat resident doctors’ hostel at SMCH
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a 50 seat resident doctors’ hostel at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH).
The hostel was built at a cost of Rs 7.05 crore and this facility will go a long way in removing the inconveniences of the resident doctors of SMCH.
Sharing the news on Twitter CM wrote, “Fulfilling a long-felt need of resident doctors, inaugurated a 50-seat resident doctors’ hostel at Silchar Medical College & Hospital. Built at a cost of Rs 7.05 crore, this facility will go a long way in removing the inconveniences of the resident doctors of SMCH.”

It may be mentioned that earlier today CM Sarma further inaugurated Cath Lab in the Department of Cardiology at SMCH. The full set up of the Cath Lab cost around 5.39 crore.
