Assam CM Kicks off Poll Campaign in Karbi Anglong
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is all set to start election campaign of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the upcoming Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) elections in Karbi Anglong district from Monday.
The Chief Minister will campaign for BJP candidates in 26 constituencies.
Sarma will begin his campaign today from Amri in West Karbi Anglong. He will campaign in the district until June 4 and attend 18 election rallies in total.
The polling will be held from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm on June 8, while repoll, if any, will be held two days later on June 10.
However, the counting of votes will take place on June 12. A total of 906 polling stations will be used to vote for 26 seats. There are a total of 7,3298 voters that are eligible to vote.
