Assam CM Meets Mukesh Ambani to Discuss Industry 4.0 Prospects
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a crucial meeting with Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Anant Ambani, exploring Assam’s potential to emerge as India’s next hub for Industry 4.0.
The high-profile discussion centered on ways Reliance could collaborate with Assam to drive technological transformation and industrial growth in the region. CM Sarma emphasized the state’s ambition to position itself at the forefront of the next industrial revolution, leveraging advanced technologies and infrastructure.
Taking to social media, Sarma hailed the meeting as a step towards Assam’s industrial transformation, stating, “Had a great meeting with Shri Mukeshbhai Ambani and Shri Anant Ambani yesterday, and I truly appreciate their time.”
Earlier on February 7, CM Sarma met Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran at his Prithviraj Road residence in New Delhi. The hour-long discussion focused on Tata Group’s expanding investments in Assam, particularly the highly anticipated semiconductor plant in Jagiroad.
The back-to-back meetings with two of India’s biggest corporate leaders signal Assam’s rapid ascent as an industrial and technological powerhouse, with strategic partnerships shaping the state’s economic future.
