Assam CM Orders Review of Development Schemes Ahead of By-Elections

Dibrugarh: In anticipation of the upcoming by-elections in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has directed Chief Secretary V.S. Bhaskar to conduct a detailed review of development schemes across the state.

The review, set to take place at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Dibrugarh from October 24 to 26, 2024, aims to assess the implementation and progress of various key initiatives.

During his visit, the Chief Secretary will focus on 25 specific schemes in the districts of Golaghat and Lakhimpur, evaluating their status to ensure they are on track.

This review underscores the government’s commitment to development and readiness to address any hurdles that may emerge, particularly in the context of the upcoming elections.

The review is part of a broader effort by the state government to reinforce its dedication to governance and transparency.
