Assam CM Predicts BJP Victory in Karimganj LS Seat

Guwahati, 18th March: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma exuded confidence during his campaign in Karimganj, predicting a landslide victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Karimganj Lok Sabha seat by a margin exceeding one lakh votes.

Sarma’s assertive stance underscored his belief that voting for the Congress party serves no purpose, as he suggested that regardless of the election outcome, victorious candidates are likely to defect to the BJP.

Expressing doubts about the loyalty of Congress contenders, Sarma hinted at their inclination to switch allegiance to the BJP post-election. He confidently claimed his ability to persuade all but one Congress candidate to join the BJP, thereby casting doubt on the relevance of supporting the Congress.

“In this scenario, voting for Congress is futile,” Sarma remarked, emphasizing the prevailing trend of Congress candidates gravitating towards the BJP fold.

Asserting his party’s dominance, Sarma proclaimed the BJP’s impending triumph in the Karimganj LS seat, with candidate Kripanath Mallah poised to secure victory by a significant margin.

“This time, Kripanath Mallah will secure a comfortable victory in Karimganj. Congress, AIUDF, BJP—all will rally in favor of Modi, ensuring victory and securing the Guwahati LS seat with the highest margin,” Sarma concluded confidently.
