Assam CM Reviews Border Issues with Nagaland, Emphasizes Peace and Cooperation
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a high-level meeting to review the Assam-Nagaland border issues, underscoring the importance of sustained peace, mutual cooperation, and constructive dialogue. The meeting highlighted the need for a harmonious relationship between the two states.
The Chief Minister affirmed that Assam remains firmly committed to preserving its historical and cultural bonds with Nagaland. He emphasized the importance of advancing a framework of economic collaboration and enduring harmony between the two states.
In a separate meeting, Dr. Sarma chaired a video conference with all Deputy Commissioners, reviewing the progress of key government initiatives, including Mission Basundhara 3.0, the Atmanirbhar Assam Abhiyan, and Orunodoi 3.0. The meeting focused on ensuring that these welfare schemes benefit citizens across all sections of society.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of effective implementation and inclusive development, directing the district administrations to speed up implementation, maintain transparency, and complete pending work efficiently. The initiatives aim to promote public welfare and economic growth in Assam.
