Assam CM reviews security arrangements ahead of President Murmu’s visit to state
Guwahati, 9th January: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is meticulously overseeing preparations for the upcoming visit of President Droupadi Murmu in the state.
Taking to the official X handle, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of the visit, stating that he chaired a meeting with top officials to review arrangements for the President’s attendance at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Karbi Youth Festival 2024 in Taralangso, Diphu.
President Murmu is scheduled to attend the festival as the Chief Guest on January 17, 2024, and the event, which spans from January 12 to January 19, 2024, holds special significance for the Karbi youth.
The Chief Minister, who had previously extended the invitation to President Murmu, expressed his honor and anticipation of her enriching presence at the celebration, which focuses on Assam’s ancient indigenous culture.
As the preparations for the presidential visit are underway, Chief Minister Sarma’s meticulous attention to details, including security, health facilities, and road communication, underscores the significance of the occasion and the reverence for the highest office of India.
