Assam CM Sarma Criticizes Congress, Touts BJP’s Prospects in Kaziranga
Guwahati, 15th April: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during an election campaign in Borpukhuri under the Kaziranga constituency.
Sarma accused Congress of neglecting Kaziranga’s development, asserting that their Lok Sabha candidate stands no chance in the upcoming elections.
Sarma rallied support for BJP, emphasizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance as the antidote to the region’s challenges.
Additionally, he hailed the success of Modi’s Jal Jeevan Mission in Assam, boasting over 75% target achievement. The Kaziranga electoral showdown, slated for April 19, features BJP’s Kamakhya Prasad Tasa against Congress’ Roselina Tirkey.
Notable changes in constituency delineation include the absorption of four seats from Kaliabor into the Nagaon constituency.
