Assam CM Sarma Extends Vijayadashami Greetings, Wishes for Brotherhood
Guwahati, 24th October: On the occasion of Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma extended his warm greetings to the people of the state on October 24. As Assam joins the rest of the country in celebrating this auspicious day, CM Sarma expressed his hope that the feeling of brotherhood among the people of the state remains strong.
In a message shared on X, CM Sarma wrote, “As Maa departs for Kailash, may her blessings guide us until she returns next year.” Vijayadashami marks the end of Navratri and is observed on the 10th day of the Hindu month of Ashvin, typically falling in September or October of the Gregorian calendar.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his greetings to the nation on the occasion of Vijayadashami. He took to X and shared, “Best wishes to my fellow citizens across the country on Vijayadashami. This holy festival brings the message of conquering negative forces and embracing goodness in life. Wishing you all a Happy Vijaya Dashami!” Vijayadashami holds a significant place in Hindu culture, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and the triumph of righteousness.
