Assam CM Sarma Holds Important Meeting with DCs, SPs in Guwahati
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma presided over a high-level meeting with Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati on Wednesday.
In the meeting, deliberations were made on effective governance, law and order and implementation of various welfare schemes.
Mission Basundhara 2.0 and Mission Bhumiputra were discussed in the high-level meeting today.
CM Sarma said in a statement to the media following the meeting “Work relating to the acceleration of Mission Basundhara 2.0 will start from mid-November. Regarding the elections for the Deori Autonomous Council, this choice has been made. Construction was supposed to get started on November 6.”
“All of the work for Mission Bhumiputra has been completed in Majuli. 70 to 80 percent of the work has been finished in other Assam districts,” the chief minister added.
A special emphasis was placed on the festivities scheduled for Lachit Barphukan’s 400th birthday celebrations in addition to these debates.
