Assam CM Sarma Holds Meet with Cachar Dist Administration Ahead of Cabinet Meet

Guwahati: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma  conducted a video conference with representatives of the Cachar district administration to go over the preparations for the upcoming cabinet meeting on November 29 in Silchar.

CM Sarma also evaluated the district’s development initiatives that are currently underway and those that are planned.

The eagerly anticipated cabinet meeting that was scheduled to take place in Silchar on November 11 has been moved to November 29.

According to reports, this will be the State Government’s first cabinet meeting in Barak Valley, therefore expectations are high for the ministerial conglomeration’s potential to produce a development-focused outcome.

The meeting is likely to cover some crucial choices about the management of floods, problems with urban water logging, development of Silchar and other areas of the Barak Valley and revitalising the tourism industry in Southern Assam.
