Guwahati: Governor of Assam Jagdish Mukhi along with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed President of India Ram Nath Kovind at LGBI Airport on Friday.
President of India Ram Nath Kovind has come on a three-day visit to Assam from February 25-27.
The President will attend the 400th birth anniversary celebration of Lachit Barphukan on Friday in Guwahati.
It may be mentioned that on February 26, President Ram Nath Kovind will honour and address the 19th convocation of Tezpur University at Tezpur. On the same day, he will inaugurate a photo and archive exhibition on conservation at the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve.
