Guwahati, 30th November: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma delightedly shared a heartwarming video of the Assam State Zoo and Botanical Garden’s newest addition, a baby giraffe, taking its morning stroll within its enclosure. The baby giraffe, born on November 16, captured the hearts of netizens.
CM Sarma had earlier announced the birth of the baby giraffe and invited suggestions from the public for naming the newborn. The Assam State Zoo presently houses three giraffes, including a male named ‘Vijay’ introduced in 2019 and a female named ‘Vijaya’ brought to the zoo in 2022. The adorable video has garnered widespread attention and affection on social media.
