Assam CM to Ceremonially Distribute 12K Appointment Letters on September 22
Guwahati: The hiring of 12,000 job applicants would be finished by September 22 as part of the Assam government’s concerted effort to fill one lakh posts as soon as possible. This will bring the overall number of recruitments up to 42,000, in addition to the 30,000 who were already hired in May.
Senior officials and the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met on Thursday, when it was determined that the 12,000 recruitments will be completed on September 22 at an official ceremony to be held at the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara.
In a release, the Chief Minister stated: “In our concerted push to complete one lakh jobs at the earliest, glad to share that today we’ve decided to complete recruitment for 12,000 posts on September 22, 2022.” After finishing 30,000 recruitments in May, this will bring the total number of recruitments to date to 42,000.
Approximately 12,000 job candidates who have been chosen for employment through various examinations and under several departments will be legally sworn in to government service in various categories during this round of appointment letter distribution.
5,200 appointment letters will be handed out on September 22 to fill the positions of constables and sub-inspectors in the home department. Aside from these, appointment letters will be given to 256 people who have been chosen to work for the Public Works Department as assistant engineers. Additionally, in the occasion, appointment letters for induction in a variety of positions under departments including Panchayat & Rural Development, higher education, technical education, and health, among others, will also be distributed.
The Chief Minister claimed that by hiring an additional 12,000 people to work for the state government, it will be possible to carry out daily governance tasks more smoothly than it is currently possible.
