Guwahati, 7th October: The Assam Government on October 7 made a significant move towards its commitment to provide 1 lakh government jobs in the state by releasing an advertisement for 5,563 posts across various state government departments.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced this development on platform X (formerly known as Twitter) and also revealed plans for another announcement of 15,000 additional vacancies soon.
The recruitment advertisement includes positions such as Sub Inspector of Police, Constable, Civil Defence Demonstrator, Nurse, Laboratory Technician, Craft Instructor, Tractor Operator, Driver Constable, Boatman, Cook, and Grade IV staff, among others, across different departments within the state government.
This initiative reflects the government’s effort to boost employment opportunities and strengthen the workforce in Assam.
