Assam CM Unveils Ambitious Development Plans for Dima Hasao During Public Address

Guwahati, 4th Jan: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, during a public gathering in Laisong on January 4, disclosed a series of comprehensive development initiatives for the Dima Hasao region.

In a significant move, the chief minister announced the issuance of ration cards to all families in Dima Hasao, encouraging residents to avail themselves of various government schemes. Complementing this, a substantial allocation of Rs 10 crore each was earmarked for the construction of strategic routes within the district.

Highlighting connectivity, CM Sarma revealed plans for the construction of a pivotal 35 km road, linking Dima Hasao with the neighboring state of Nagaland. Emphasizing the importance of education, he declared the provision of scooters for all female college students in Dima Hasao, urging them to pursue their studies diligently.

In a bid to support the aspirations of the youth, the Chief Minister pledged assistance to those aspiring to join the state police services. The Assam government, under his leadership, committed to providing training for youths aiming for Grade III and IV government services, with the overarching goal of maximizing employment opportunities for the youth of Dima Hasao.

“Our government is dedicated to empowering the youth of Dima Hasao, and we aim to facilitate their entry into various government services, ensuring maximum job opportunities,” asserted CM Sarma during the public meeting held at Laisong.
