Assam CM Urges Action Against Akbaruddin Owaisi Over Alleged Threat to Police Inspector

Guwahati, 23rd November: Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, condemns Akbaruddin Owaisi’s alleged threat towards a police inspector in Hyderabad, urging swift resolution. Sarma criticizes appeasement politics and contrasts the handling of such incidents in Assam.

Owaisi faces a case for threatening a police inspector enforcing the model code of conduct for upcoming assembly polls. CM Sarma highlights the impact of appeasement politics in Telangana and calls on the Election Commission of India to cancel Owaisi’s candidature.

A case under section 353 IPC and other sections is registered against Owaisi, who denies the allegations, presenting video footage to contest the police officer’s intervention.
