Assam CM Visits Family of Triple Murder Victims, Assures Severe Punishment for Culprits
Guwahati, 26th July: Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, visited the bereaved family members of the shocking triple murder case that shook Golaghat.
During his visit, CM Sarma met Ankita Ghosh, the sole survivor and daughter of the deceased Sanjeev Ghosh. Expressing his concern, he assured that the accused involved in the horrific incident would face severe punishment.
“I paid a visit to the house of late Sanjeev Ghosh and met his daughter Ankita. I discussed the investigation with the SP and range DIG and requested them to file a charge sheet. I’ve also requested that a special public prosecutor be appointed in the case. I am hopeful that all those charged will face harsh punishment.” said CM Sarma while addressing the media during his visit.
In addition, CM Sarma offered advice to girls, urging them not to fall prey to miscreants attempting to entrap them in love affairs through social media.
Accompanying Himanta Biswa Sarma during his visit to Golaghat were Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog, Khumtai MLA Mrinal Saikia, Sarupathar MLA Biswajit Phukan, and cabinet minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass, among others.
