Assam: College Girl Stabbed During E-Rickshaw Ride In Morigaon

Guwahati, 16th November: In a shocking incident reported from Dalbari area in Assam’s Morigaon, a college girl was stabbed by two unidentified assailants on November 16.

The victim, identified as Fariya Rahman, is a first-year higher secondary student at Gyandeep Senior Secondary College.

The attack occurred while Fariya was traveling to college in an e-rickshaw.

About halfway through the journey, the two assailants intercepted the e-rickshaw and assaulted the girl with a sharp object, causing injuries to her neck and shoulder.

Fortunately, the injuries are reported as non-fatal.

The attackers fled from the scene after committing the crime.

There are preliminary claims that the e-rickshaw driver might have taken an unfamiliar route intentionally. However, there is no concrete evidence of the same.

Fariya Rahman was immediately admitted to a hospital in Morigaon, where she is currently receiving medical treatment.

Local authorities, including the police, have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the motive behind the attack and identify the accused.
