Guwahati, 24th March: Premlal Ganju, the Congress nominee contesting for the Sonitpur Lok Sabha seat in Assam, has garnered attention for his modest asset declaration.
In an affidavit submitted to the Election Commission of India, Ganju revealed that he possesses a meager Rs 1 lakh in cash, supplemented by an additional Rs 50,000 held by his wife.
Remarkably, Ganju’s commitment to financial transparency extends beyond his cash holdings. The affidavit further discloses that the aspiring parliamentarian has Rs 5,06,995 deposited in his bank accounts, while his wife maintains Rs 1,77,453 in hers.
