
Assam: Congress Expellee Identified as Prime Accused in MP Bordoloi Vehicle Attack
Guwahati: The Assam Police have made a significant breakthrough in the investigation concerning the recent attack on the vehicles of Member of Parliament Pradyut Bordoloi and Shivamoni Bora, identifying Imdadul Islam as the principal accused. Islam, a resident of Bhuragaon in Morigaon district, was notably expelled from the Congress party a mere two days before the incident occurred, adding a layer of political complexity to the ongoing investigation.
Addressing the media from Batadrava Police Station earlier today, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Akhilesh Kumar Singh and Nagaon Superintendent of Police (SP) Swapnaneel Deka provided updates on the case’s progress. The senior officers detailed the identification of Islam and assured the public that stringent legal measures will be taken against all individuals involved in the attack.
Despite the identification of the main accused, the investigation remains active as authorities seek to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the attack. Law enforcement agencies are diligently working to uncover any additional individuals or motives that contributed to the incident.
