Assam: Congress leader Rakibul Hussain accuses CM Himanta Biswa Sarma of governing through intimidation
Guwahati, 15th March: Congress MP candidate Rakibul Hussain has kicked off his campaign in Kholabandha, Chenga, with a pointed critique aimed at MP Badruddin Ajmal and Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Hussain didn’t mince words, accusing Sarma of ruling through fear tactics.
In a bold statement, Hussain accused Chief Minister Sarma of governing with intimidation and hostility, asserting, “Even if 50 Himanta Biswa Sarmas come, they will not be able to move a hair of the minority people.” He emphasized the urgency of removing Sarma from his position as Chief Minister, stressing that achieving this goal relies on the decisive action of voters at the polls.
Hussain also alleged a symbiotic relationship between Chief Minister Sarma and Ajmal, suggesting that Sarma’s inaction in Dispur is influenced by Ajmal’s stronghold in Dhubri. Responding to Ajmal’s derogatory comparison of himself as a goat to Ajmal’s tiger-like stature, Hussain dismissed the remark, criticizing Ajmal as uncouth and ill-mannered.
Encouraging voters to entrust him with representing Dhubri, Hussain pledged to fiercely advocate for their interests.
As the election in Dhubri approaches, the political landscape intensifies, with candidates competing for support amidst passionate rhetoric and fervent exchanges.
