Guwahati: The leader of the Congress and an MLA Rakibul Hussain submitted his resignation from the party’s office on Sunday, hours after Abdul Khaleque the spokesperson for the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee resigned from his position.
According to reports, the MLA decided to hold the Congress Presidential election.
Hussain will be involved in Mallikarjun Kharge’s campaign.
Khaleque resigned from his position and his APCC party duties on Saturday.
He also made the dicision to attend Mallikarjun Kharge’s campaign for the Congress president Poll.
