Assam: Congress Organizes ‘Youth Jodo Yatra’ as Part of Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ Initiative in Tinsukia

Guwahati, 15th November: Assam Pradesh Youth Congress, in collaboration with Tinsukia District Youth Congress, organized a “Youth Jodo Yatra” from Borguri Bihutoli court Tiniali to Tinsukia Congress Bhawan. The rally, part of the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” initiative led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, aimed to connect with the youth across the country. Over 5000 youths from Tinsukia district participated in the event.

Notable attendees included Krishna Allabaru, Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and observer of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), Dr. S R Lenka, Secretary of IYC and observer of APYC, and other Congress leaders. Krishna Allabaru highlighted concerns about the BJP government’s focus on divisive issues rather than addressing key challenges like unemployment, inflation, and border issues.

During the event, Congress leaders and workers felicitated Krishna Allabaru with traditional Assamese gamosha and Japi. Debabrata Saikia expressed concern over the reported forcible occupation of a coke industry in Tipong firing range Margherita by associates of Margherita MLA Bhaskar Sharma. Saikia urged an impartial judicial inquiry into the matter by the Assam Government.
