Guwahati: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Friday announced a list of 26 candidates for the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Election (KAAC) 2022.
The elections are scheduled to be held on June 8.
Elections will be held in all 26 council constituencies of Karbi Anglong and West Karbi Anglong district.
The polling will be held from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm on June 8, while repoll, if any, will be held two days later on June 10.
However, the counting of votes will take place on June 12.
Out of the 26, four candidates are yet to be announced by APCC.

It needs to be mentioned that the candidates have to file their nominations by May 23 (the last day of nominations) while the last date for scrutiny of nominations and withdrawal of candidatures has been scheduled on May 24.
The last KAAC election was held on June 17, 2017, and the council was constituted on July 3 the same year.
A total of 7, 03,298 voters are registered to exercise their franchise in the election- 3,55,503 male and 3,47,790 females. Five third gender voters are also enrolled in the voter list.
