Guwahati: In the Sivasagar district of Assam, a construction worker died on Tuesday after falling from a building that was still being built.
The Amolpatty region is where the incident was reported and the deceased is identified as one Deheswar Konwar.
According to sources, it is believed that the labourer tripped while working and fell off the structure.
Local police arrived on the spot after the event and removed the body.
At least three labourers died and numerous others suffered major injuries earlier this month as a result of a gas leak at a coal mine in Tinsukia, Assam.
The deceased were identified as Hussain Ali, Aasmat Ali, and Sahidul Islam.
