Assam: Cost of Apartment flats to increase
Guwahati: The unprecedented price rise in petrol-diesel, cooking gas, life-saving medicines, food items as well as construction materials has affected the real estate sector in the state. In turn flats will become costlier along with other products in the state.
The flat will grow by Rs 600 per sq ft only after Bohag Bihu. This was announced by the Assam Real Estate Infrastoccadevelopers Association (ERIDA).
Addressing a press conference in Guwahati PressClub, Erida president P K Sharma said that the increase in the cost of construction materials has almost stalled the projects in the real state sector.
He also said builders in Assam are currently facing alarming situations. In this situation there is no alternative but to take some steps. The revenue earned from the construction projects has not even covered the cost of construction.
