Guwahati, 10th April: In a heartbreaking incident that has left the Cotton University community in shock and mourning, first-year student Kalina Barua attempted suicide by jumping from the second floor of the Pranalaya PG. The tragic event unfolded at the student residence, sending ripples of distress through the university.

Kalina’s desperate act resulted in severe injuries, and she was swiftly rushed to the Gauhati Medical College hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite the dedicated efforts of medical personnel, Kalina tragically succumbed to her injuries, plunging the university into profound sorrow.
