Assam: Courier Delivery Worker Killed in Road Accident in Silchar
Guwahati, 6th May: Tragedy struck on the Silchar-Karimganj highway near Srikona Daily Bazar on May 5 afternoon when a 25-year-old courier delivery worker lost his life in a devastating road accident.
The victim, identified as Mrinal Kanti Paul, was riding a two-wheeler on his way home after completing his delivery duties for an online shopping company. Eyewitnesses recounted that around 2 pm, Paul’s scooter collided with an overspeeding Bolero SUV traveling from the opposite direction, resulting in the fatal accident.
Reports suggest that the SUV was moving at an alarmingly high speed when it rammed into Paul’s scooter, throwing him several feet away from the impact. Tragically, Paul succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
The SUV, bearing registration AS 03 AJ 3213, also overturned following the collision, and its driver sustained minor injuries.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal road accident in Silchar, aiming to ascertain the factors contributing to the tragic incident.
