Assam Crime Branch Collaborates with ISPs in Cybercrime Investigation
Guwahati, 24th September: The Crime Branch of Assam Police has summoned 35 internet service providers in Guwahati to assist in an ongoing cybercrime investigation. They’re collecting data consumption records of suspected cybercriminals and identifying masterminds behind these activities.
Key individuals named in the investigation are David, Divyam, and Rajan, with plans to seize their assets. A specialized team from Noida and Delhi is expected to support the inquiry.
Mahendra Chand, a resident of Nepal, has provided crucial information during questioning and is remanded in police custody for a week. His involvement in the mysterious suicide of a young woman in Bamunimaidam area has come to light, intensifying the investigation into cybercrime operations.
