Guwahati, 3rd October: A tragic incident occurred on Monday when a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, identified as Ajay Singh, allegedly took his own life by shooting himself with his service rifle while on duty at Camp-10 in Karimganj’s Ratabari locality.
CRPF officials swiftly responded to the incident, transporting the deceased jawan’s body to a nearby hospital for a post-mortem examination. Simultaneously, an investigation was initiated to understand the circumstances surrounding the apparent suicide.
Ajay Singh hailed from Indupur village in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district. The incident has underscored the mental health challenges faced by security personnel and the need for support mechanisms to address their well-being.
