Assam: CRPF Jawan Found Dead in Apparent Suicide at Udharband Camp

Guwahati, 15th May: In a tragic incident that has left the Dayapur CRPF camp in Udharband, Cachar reeling with shock, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, identified as Narendra Kumar, aged 38, was discovered deceased in an apparent suicide.

Narendra Kumar, who had been stationed at the Dayapur camp for an extended period, was found hanging in the camp’s store room during the night. Colleagues, upon making the distressing discovery, immediately alerted senior officials and made efforts to rescue him. However, despite their swift response, Narendra Kumar had already passed away.

The untimely demise of the CRPF jawan has deeply shaken the personnel and officials at the Dayapur camp, leaving them bewildered and sorrowful. To ascertain the exact cause of death, the body of the deceased has been transferred to the Silchar Medical College for a thorough postmortem examination.

An investigation has been launched to shed light on the circumstances leading up to the tragic incident, aiming to uncover any factors that may have contributed to Narendra Kumar’s decision to take his own life. The entire CRPF fraternity mourns the loss of one of its dedicated members, reflecting on the challenges faced by those in service and the importance of providing support and assistance to ensure their well-being.
