Assam: Decisive STF Operation in Guwahati Nets Four Suspected Drug Peddlers
Guwahati, 28th May: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, a Special Task Force (STF) team led by Additional Superintendent of Police (STF) Kalyan Pathak conducted a successful raid at Dispur Guest House in the Ganeshguri area, under the jurisdiction of Dispur Police Station. The operation, executed based on credible intelligence, aimed to dismantle ongoing drug trafficking activities in the region.
During the meticulously planned raid, the STF team apprehended four individuals suspected of involvement in drug peddling. The operation also led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of illicit substances. Law enforcement officials discovered a total of 14 soap boxes containing approximately 196 grams of heroin, cleverly concealed to avoid detection.
This operation marks a considerable victory in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in Guwahati. The arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of a significant quantity of heroin underscore the STF’s unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order and protecting the community from the dangers of narcotics.
