Assam Deputy Speaker Voices Confidence in Modi Government Ahead of Elections
Guwahati, 13th April: Dr. Numal Momin, Deputy Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, expressed strong confidence in the current government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He cited widespread public sentiment echoing ‘Phir ek baar, Modi Sarkar. Ab ki baar 400 paar,’ indicating robust support for Modi’s leadership and a desire for continuity in governance.
Momin attributed this sentiment to what he termed as ‘Modi magic’ and the pervasive ‘Modi wave’ across the nation, fueled by appreciation for Modi’s transformative initiatives. He viewed this as indicative of significant development under Modi’s leadership.
Looking ahead to the upcoming elections, Momin predicted that voters would prioritize peace, development, and prosperity. Specifically focusing on the northeast region, he anticipated a sweeping victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), foreseeing success in all 25 seats.
Momin commended Modi for his visionary initiatives in the Northeast, particularly highlighting the ‘look east policy’ and the comprehensive development agenda encapsulated in the ‘Ashtalakshmi,’ referring to the eight northeastern states.
In contrast, Momin expressed skepticism regarding the Congress party’s prospects, citing what he perceived as weak leadership and a challenging path to resurgence in the current political landscape.
