Assam DGP: Tight Security In Place for Direct Recruitment Exam on August 28
Guwahati: Assam’s Director General of Police (DGP), Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta stated that the state police are prepared for the August 28 written tests for Grade-III positions being administered by the State Level Recruitment Commission across the state’s 25 districts.
The DGP expressed his optimism that the exams would be held peacefully while speaking to the media on Saturday. He noted that strict security measures have been put in place for the tests.
DGP Mahanta said, โThe Assam Police has made all preparations for the direct recruitment exam Grade-III to be held on August 28. Tight security arrangements have been made. I hope that the exams are successfully conducted as it was done on August 21.โ
The DGP further requested that students arrive at the exam sites one to two hours prior to the start of the exam and warned that failure to do so would not be tolerated.
โThere may be traffic jams on the way and that is nothing new. Therefore, the candidates should leave their homes early so that traffic jam on the way to the exam centres do not make them late,โ the DGP said.
Additionally, Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta urged the candidates to refrain from cheating in the exam and from bringing superfluous items to the testing locations.
He added that anyone found breaking the law will face harsh punishment.
On August 28, a total of 8,52,181 applicants will take the Grade-III direct recruitment examination at 1903 locations in 25 Assamese districts.
