Assam: Dhing College Secures National Recognition for Social Contributions

Guwahati, 12th September: Dhing College, located in Nagaon district, has achieved national acclaim by securing second place in the prestigious “Future India” competition, held on September 6 by Nagindas Khandwala College, Malad, Mumbai. The competition, which saw participation from over 70 colleges across India, recognized institutions for their social contributions.

The college’s Vice-Principal, Dr. Snigdha Mahanta, represented the institution in the “Contribution to Tribal Communities” category. Through an impressive audio-visual presentation, she highlighted the college’s significant efforts in uplifting the backward village of Dhupguri Kochari through the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Dhing College is also actively involved in adopting four underdeveloped villages under the Government of India’s Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative. The institution’s commendable efforts have drawn praise from several notable figures, including Guwahati University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Nani Gopal Mahanta and Director of Higher Education Pomi Baruah.

This achievement marks a proud moment for the college, showcasing its ongoing commitment to community development and social responsibility.
