Assam: Dhubri Fortifies Security Grid as IGP Leads Patrols, 38 Nabbed

Dhubri: The air in Dhubri district remained thick with an unprecedented security blanket last night as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Law and Order, Akhilesh Kumar Singh, personally spearheaded extensive patrol operations across the town.

This high-visibility exercise coincided with a massive crackdown on criminal elements, leading to the apprehension of 38 individuals involved in non-bailable offences from eight different police station jurisdictions.

The decisive action comes on the heels of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s direct mandate for enhanced security and the strategic deployment of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) in the area.

The streets and bylanes of Dhubri witnessed a seamless coordination between local police personnel and a sizable contingent of RAF jawans.
