Assam: Dibrugarh Cancer Centre Reaches Major Milestone with 500 Successful Surgeries

Guwahati, 31st May: The Department of Surgical Oncology at Dibrugarh Cancer Centre has reached a significant milestone, completing 500 major surgeries, a testament to its commitment to excellence in cancer care. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to commend the team’s remarkable achievement, highlighting the progress of the state’s cancer care program.

“Big milestone achieved! Our cancer care program is showing huge results. The Dept. of Surgical Oncology at Dibrugarh Cancer Centre has successfully completed 500 major surgeries. Congratulations to the entire team for their dedication and excellence! 👏 #AssamCancerCare,” tweeted the Chief Minister.

Situated adjacent to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh, the centre boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure and 183 beds, making it a vital resource for cancer patients in Assam and the surrounding regions. This milestone underscores the centre’s role as a beacon of hope for those battling cancer, showcasing its pivotal contributions to healthcare in the region.
