Guwahati: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has conferred the prestigious Best Police Station Certificate on Digboi Police Station in Tinsukia district, Assam, in recognition of its outstanding service and efficiency in upholding law and order.
The certificate, issued from New Delhi, highlights the station’s discipline, commitment to public service, and effective policing, positioning it as a model for other police stations in the state.
As part of the honour, the Officer-in-Charge of Digboi Police Station will formally receive the award from the Director General of Police (DGP), Assam, at a special ceremony scheduled on August 22 at the Conference Hall of Assam Police Headquarters, Ulubari, Guwahati.
Officials stated that the recognition stands as a tribute to the dedication and hard work of the Digboi Police team, who have consistently earned public trust while ensuring safety and order in the region. The accolade is also expected to motivate other police stations across Assam to emulate similar standards of transparency, efficiency, and community-oriented policing.
