Assam: Dima Hasao Residents Advised to Stay Indoors Amid IMD Weather Warning
Guwahati, 2nd May: Responding to the weather warning issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), residents of Dima Hasao District in Guwahati are advised to remain indoors from May 2 to May 4 until heavy rainfall subsides and conditions improve.
As a precautionary measure, all educational institutions will remain closed during this period to ensure the safety of students and staff.
Meanwhile, the Transport Department and SP office are closely monitoring traffic conditions in the area. Currently, the Jatinga-Harangajao Stretch at NH-27 is closed to all vehicle traffic until 4:00 PM today due to severe weather conditions.
