Assam Direct Recruitment Exam for Grade 3 & 4 to be Held in 1,258 Centres
Guwahati: 1,258 centres throughout the state will host the Assam government’s direct recruitment exam for Grades III and IV on August 21 and 28.
Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA), RC Jain, stated during a press conference held in Guwahati that the exam will be conducted under close vigilance and that no adverse incident is likely to occur during the exam.
Both SEBA Secretary Naranarayan Nath and Chairman of the Commission Created for Grade IV Posts Kalyan Chakrabarty attended the news briefing.
Mobile phones, even ones that are turned off, are not permitted in the exam room for students. Any electronic products, storage media devices, such as smart watches, fitness bands, electric scanners, Bluetooth devices, microphones, etc., will not be permitted for the applicants to carry.
Additionally, the candidates will not be permitted to bring a calculator, a pen drive, paper, etc. They won’t be permitted to bring any books, whether they are written or printed.
Pen, pencil, eraser, credit card, and debit card are the only items that candidates are permitted to bring into the examination room along with their admission cards, which the relevant authority must supply.
The SEBA officials stated that the applicants would be accountable for any materials that are not permitted in the test room and that the authority will not be held liable in the event that any such goods are misplaced by the candidates.
They added that failure to submit the OMR sheets with the exam papers will result in the candidates being marked absent.
The officials added that a 100-meter radius around the testing locations will be subject to Section 144.
There will be 14 lakhs 30 thousand 338 participants in total who will take the test. For 48 departments, the Grade III and IV posts exams will take place simultaneously.
The examination for Class VIII and above will be held from 10 to 12 Noon while the examination for Class X and above candidates will be held from 2 to 4pm.
The Grade III examination will be held on August 28 and examination fir HS and above candidates will be conducted from 10-12 noon while the examination for graduate and above level will be held from 2-4 pm.
The examination for drivers will be held on September 11 from 10-12 noon.
On August 21, examinations will be held in 24 districts while on August 28, the examination will be held in 25 districts.
Moreover, internet services will be shut down in 25 districts of Assam on August 21 and 28 for four hours in lieu of the examination.
