Assam: Draft Electoral Roll for Special Summary Revision 2025 Published; Voters Encouraged to Verify Details

Guwahati— The Draft Electoral Roll for the Special Summary Revision 2025 has been officially published today, marking the beginning of a critical phase in the electoral process. This allows voters to verify their details and make necessary updates ahead of the upcoming elections.

The final electoral roll is set to be published on January 6, 2025. From now until November 28, 2024, voters have the opportunity to submit claims and objections regarding their electoral information. This process includes new voter registrations using Form 6, registering overseas voters with Form 6A, filing objections to entries via Form 7, and correcting entries with Form 8.

Special campaign dates have been designated for November 9, 10, 16, and 17, 2024. On these days, local centres will provide assistance with forms, corrections, and guidance to ensure a seamless experience for voters.

All claims and objections will be reviewed and resolved by December 24, 2024. Following this review, the electoral database will be updated, and printed supplements will be prepared by January 1, 2025.

Voters can verify their details through offline methods by visiting the District Election Officer’s office, Electoral Registration Officer, or their polling station. For those who prefer online verification, details can be checked through the website ceoassam.nic.in. Additional support is also available from Booth Level Officers and via the Voter Helpline App.

Officials are encouraging all eligible voters to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure their electoral information is accurate and up-to-date, thereby facilitating their participation in the democratic process.
