Guwahati: In yet another police encounter one more criminal who is accused of trafficking drugs injured in Goalpara district of Assam on Friday.
The injured identified as Farooq Hussain.
Acting on a tip off, Hussain was arrested during a raid conducted by the police at around 4 am in the district.
The accused was shot by the officials when he allegedly tried to flee from custody.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Anurag Sharma, was also injured in the incident.
However, the manner in which this occurred was not immediately evident.
It needs to be noted that he is currently under treatment at Goalpara Civil Hospital.
