Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police arrested three suspected drug peddlers including a woman in Karbi Anglong district.
Following a tip off from sources a team of Bokajan police officials launched a search operation against drugs and the three accused in the Borlengri area of the districts.
The woman was identified as L H Rani Rao of Manipur was allegedly involved with her husband named R N Surinder.
During the operation, the officials recovered 33 soap boxes with a total of 401 grams of heroin from their possession. The police also seized three vehicles, Rs 3,58,000 in cash, jewellery and some documents.
Further investigation is underway into the matter.
